The Grandview R2 campus has not recieved any signicant damage due to this evenings storms.
Be safe and we will see you Tuesday.
Attention:
This afternoon the fire alarm system was triggered in the high school. Students and staff were evacuated following safety procedures and the fire department was automatically alerted and were on the scene.
After an investigation, it was found that there was not an actual fire and the students and staff were in no imminent danger. The alert system was triggered from a fault in the alarm system. The fault in the alarm system is being addressed so this event is not repeated.
The administration commends the students and staff for their professionalism during the event today and appreciates the prompt and efficient action of our rescue services.

4-Day Week Update:
Senate Bill 4 was approved out of committee WITHOUT the amendment related to the 4-day school week. I have also been told that we should not consider this a permanent “win” for the 4-day week as a local control option. I’ve heard that this same amendment (that includes the 4-day week) could very well appear again on later bills----so, please do not let this change your efforts to advocate for your position on the 4-day week, whatever it may be. Of course, new amendments could pop up or be added to future bills.
Thank you everyone for your efforts, I will try to keep you updated,
Matt Zoph

Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Byrd
Thank you so much for the terrific response to our Elementary PTO survey! Based upon the survey results, Tuesdays at 5pm worked well for most families to attend meetings.
Our first elementary parent meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, October 11th from 5-6pm in the elementary cafeteria. We will provide snacks and free childcare for Grandview students (sorry no younger siblings as we are not equipped to adequately supervise younger children).
We will livestream the meeting via Google Meet. The meeting will be recorded and shared out afterwards for those unable to attend.
Due to bus driver shortages and overcrowding on certain routes, we have made some changes to bus routes. Please see the attached document. Changes are highlighted in yellow. Bus routes 1 and 6 have separated, so times have changed. Some stops have been moved from route 3 to route 7 due to overcrowding. These changes will go into effect tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13th. Please contact the office with any questions!
