A few school districts in the area have decided to release early tomorrow for bad weather. At this time Grandview is planning on having a full day of school. Please rest assured we will be monitoring the weather closely tomorrow and will release if it becomes necessary.

4-Day Week Update:
Senate Bill 4 was approved out of committee WITHOUT the amendment related to the 4-day school week. I have also been told that we should not consider this a permanent “win” for the 4-day week as a local control option. I’ve heard that this same amendment (that includes the 4-day week) could very well appear again on later bills----so, please do not let this change your efforts to advocate for your position on the 4-day week, whatever it may be. Of course, new amendments could pop up or be added to future bills.
Thank you everyone for your efforts, I will try to keep you updated,
Matt Zoph

Due to a large number of quarantines to the high school staff, Grandview High School will not be holding class on campus through November 30th. High school extracurricular activities will not take place during this time on campus. The individual coaches will be in contact with their athletes to let them know of the next course of action for each program.
Grandview Middle School will still be in session each day. The basketball and cheerleading programs will continue their seasons as scheduled.
Just to reiterate, there will be no HIGH SCHOOL extracurricular activities on campus at the high school.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

Practice Update: We apologize for the late notice on this. There will be no HIGH SCHOOL practices after school today.

The Grandview School District will be closed as of the end of the day on March 17th. Effective immediately, all athletics/activities will be suspended until April 6th. The campus will also be closed for community events until April 6th as well. The link below is a letter than outlines this closure including the Grandview events affected by this situation:
http://bit.ly/GVclosureAthleticsLetter
We are hoping this is just going to be temporary pause on athletics/activities here at Grandview. If any new information comes available, we will pass it on at that time.

Tomorrow, there will be Parent-Teacher conferences at both the high school and middle school from 1-6 PM. During conferences, there will be an informational meeting for parents of students participating in spring sports in grades 7-12 in the high school library at both 2:30 and 4:15.
Parents/guardians are required to attend one meeting per year, so if they have attended a similar meeting for the fall or winter sports seasons, they do not need to attend this meeting.
