Buses have finished the afternoon drop-off runs for today. For safety and security sake campus is closed tonight.
Eagle Nation is full of rockstars. Students and staff stepped up and kept their cool under extraordinary circumstances today. We also would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to parents and guardians for their understanding and cooperation on a difficult day with weather conditions.
We, as always, feel lucky to be a part of this community and proud of how we come together in difficult times.
Students have been loaded on the buses and they have left campus. Bus 8 will have to circumvent water and could be held up later than the other routes
We are starting a modified bus loading process at this time. Thank you for your patience during today.
* Note*
District phones and internet connections are down at this time due to power outage.
There is some flooding of area roads. Please be careful when traveling, especially Hwy C along Hwy Y and Butcher Branch. Affected road areas also include Brownsford Rd. and Hwy Y, Ware Church Rd. and Hwy Y, and Reynolds Creek. We suspect there are more flooded area roads but we do not have visual confirmation
At this time the road in front of the middle school is closed. If you need to pick up a middle school student he/she will have to be picked up in the middle school parking lot.
There will be a change in afternoon pick up due to campus tree limbs on power lines. Please be patient and follow administrator/emergency personnel directions.
This will also probably change the times for afternoon student drop-off.
All buildings have been released back to their classrooms.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and commendations to our incredible staff and students for their resilience and actions during the recent storm. Your cooperation and preparedness were instrumental in ensuring everyone's safety.
As we resume the school day, let's continue to prioritize safety and support one another as a strong community. Thank you for your cooperation and dedication! 🌟 #EagleNation
All students have returned to campus. With the incoming storm front all Grandview buildings will be sheltering in place. Please do not come to pick up your students until after the storm has passed.
Due to weather forecasts, the senior awards program scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. It will be held tomorrow, Thursday, May 9 at 12:30 pm in the high school gym. Parents, friends, and family that are able to attend are welcome.
Happy School Nurses Day to our nurses who are wonderful, spectacular, wise, friendly, outstanding, and whatever positive adjective you would like to add.
To get ahead of the predicted storms today all field trips will be back on campus before noon.
The weather will be watched closely today and we are in contact with weather services at all times to stay informed of updates in patterns.
Any emergency situations or changes in schedules will be communicated with Eagle Nation immediately.
Today the staff had lunch provided by the District from Mayana food truck for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Work continues on the bond projects at the high school. Here's some pics of some steel going up for the future band room and the continuing demo of the office for the new kitchen.
